Welcome to the Governors’ webpage; we hope it provides a clear insight into what our roles and responsibilities are and who we all are.
What is the responsibility of the Governors?
The Governors have responsibility for ensuring the good conduct and high standards of educational achievement in the school. They act in the best interests of the students and also act as a critical friend to the Principal.
The three main roles are:
Are appointed by the Diocese and form the majority of the Governors of the school. They have a legal duty to preserve and develop the Catholic character of the school and to ensure the school is conducted in accordance with the Scheme of Delegation.
Representatives of the staff community within the school. Also includes the Headteacher of the school.
Nominated by parents of the students who attend the school.
Appointed by the Governing Body who has the skills required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school.
Trinity is currently in the process of appointing more Governors to its Local Governing Board.
Chris is Vice-Chair and is a Civil Engineer and has worked in the construction industry for many years. He is married, and his eldest two children attend Trinity. He’s an active member of his local Catholic Parish in Warwick and enjoys running, playing the guitar and DIY.
Ed is a former pupil of a time long ago and now a parent of a child attending Trinity. He is a Chartered Architect and member of the RIBA; a local business owner, he enjoys travel and will always take the time to look for good design. An Architects function for him is as much about solving problems and finding solutions as it is about buildings and space.
His academic and professional qualifications requires him to have knowledge and understanding of codes of conduct, legislation, health & safety, contractual relationships, financial management, processes and programming. He has experience in leading stakeholders through a process, developing shared goals and values and is now looking forward to bringing his skills and knowledge into an educational environment.
Stephen lives locally and is married with adult children. He has previously worked in Domestic Emergency Insurance, before moving into the utilities sector. He possesses broad experience of the Energy industry, including having worked for a 'Big Six' Energy Retailer, and now works for National Grid ESO in Warwick in Technical Regulatory Code Change.
Experienced in contract management, process development and implementation, operational management, and leading and negotiating with relevant stakeholders. He is looking forward to serving Trinity and​ play a part in its role in developing educational excellence for students.
Gerald was elected by parents/carers of Trinity Catholic School and joined the Local Governing Board during academic year 2023-24.
Cloe was elected by parent/carers of Trinity Catholic School and joined the Local Governing Board during academic year 2023-24.
